Sculpsure Q & A

What is SculpSure?

SculpSure provides a way to get rid of fat cells in certain parts of your body that don’t respond to dieting and exercise, such as hip fat or belly fat. This kind of treatment doesn’t have the same risks as more invasive methods, such as surgical fat removal. Instead, SculpSure offers a safe and effective way to get rid of fat with minimal downtime.

How does SculpSure work?

SculpSure involves using laser energy to reach particular areas of fat and heat them up, causing damage to fat cells. Your body gradually removes these damaged fat cells through your lymphatic system, providing a natural means of fat reduction. SculpSure can damage these cells without hurting your skin in the treated areas.

What happens during SculpSure treatments?

Dr. Kevorkian targets certain areas of fat and uses the SculpSure device to release laser energy. It feels cool at first, then turns to a warmer feeling as the laser energy reaches your fat cells. This warming sensation occurs on and off as the laser emits energy.

Does SculpSure hurt?

SculpSure treatments shouldn’t be painful, but you should let Dr. Kevorkian know if you experience any discomfort. In general, you should only experience the cooling and warming sensations during treatment. You might also feel a slight tingling in the treatment areas.

How long does SculpSure take?

SculpSure treatments usually take about 25 minutes. However, keep in mind that this can vary from one patient to the next based on different factors. For example, having multiple areas treated, or needing more fat removed in one area, might take longer.

How many SculpSure treatments do I need?

The number of SculpSure treatments you’ll need will depend on how many areas you’re having treated. You might also require additional treatments for heavy pockets of fat in stubborn areas. Dr. Kevorkian will inform you of the amount of treatments you’ll need.

How long does SculpSure last?

SculpSure results might become noticeable in about six weeks, but this varies from patient to patient. Once you start seeing results, your body will continue getting rid of the damaged fat cells over the next several weeks. These damaged fat cells are gone for good once your body eliminates them.
